Modern Spare in Trunk = All the time ??

Has anyone figured out a way to convert or utilize the trunk to carry the Modern Spare on all NXs except 250? Did you buy the full kit with the tools, jack and case ? If so, did you store the tools and jack under the deck.

Did you add tie-down straps to secure the tire?

A true spare is needed, in case of tire emergencies.

There are lengthy threads already on the topic with a wealth of information. User Amigo is the only one who fabricated a solution to properly secure it down. I may look into some kind of straps when I have some time.

These are for 250 NX with 12 volt battery in trunk

I bought the spare only, l have a small hydraulic jack, 18” breaker bar, small 12v air pump, tire plug kit & jumper cables - it all fits under the spare and tire support shelf. I would take photo to show what’s under the cover if interest.

Since you have the Modern Spare already, have you tried removing all of the storage bins and trim pieces and see if the tire can even fit in the bare trunk? Even if at an angle. If that's not even possible, there is really nothing to discuss in terms of fabricating a way to make it all fit under the trunk lid.
