Default Spare tire compartment

Has anyone created a compartment to add a spare to the NX? If so can you please include pictures.
I hate how these cars don’t come with a spare.

Do you have a Hybrid? If so, you're pretty much out of luck since the 12v battery is back there. Otherwise you can get a Modern Spare and just rip out all the storage bins where the tire should be. Someone, somewhere in the past has posted a list of parts that can be ordered to put all the OEM stuff in to make it look like IanG's car. But since you can't see it once the cover is back in place we didn't bother.

There are previous discussions about this if you search the forum. As shown by IanG, you can order the NX250 spare tire compartment trim pieces, but they only fit the NX350. If you have the hybrid, you'll need to break out the arts and crafts kit. I'm trying to remember the original forum discussions but I believe there have been a couple of people that installed the NX250 trim pieces successfully but those with hybrids usually just keep the tire tied down in the normal trunk area or gut the area underneath the floor to make room for the spare and try to rig up something to keep the floor panel looking decent. Try reviewing those discussions, might be of help

Some NX250s come with spares from the factory, some don't. If you have the NX250, just order the original trim pieces for handling the spare tire and you'll get the perfect fit, no arts and crafts required.

Check if your 250 has the piece of metal in the 2nd picture for the screw top. Only the Canadian domestic market 250s have them for sure.

I noticed in the picture the tow hook is missing. At least it's not sitting in the cutout for it in the top right corner. I would purchase one from Lexus. This would be used to pull the car if needed onto flatbed or out of ditch when stuck.
