Hmmm, I’m just trying to buy whichever is better for full range corner dash speakers (likely not replacing door speakers or adding an amp so I think that means I shouldn’t worry about tweeter-only for that location). Planning to eventually add either a AIO powered sub or mini amp for stock sub to help out the low end as well.
Do you think the GS25’s are likely better even though they are only 2.5” instead of 3.5” like the JL’s?

Has anyone seen the Mark Levinson speakers in the dash or elsewhere?

I've looked online at Martin Logan pictures and just on a visual basis, was not impressed at least compared to higher end aftermarket speakers.
I have not heard the ML system, but, it would be interesting to compare the beefed up dash system.
Of course, system sound is very subjective
No disrespect to existing ML owners.....

JL audio makes 7 grades, C1 to C7. Objectively C2 is toward the bottom of that continuum. Car Speakers by Category - Car Audio - JL Audio
Audiofrog makes a variety of presumably quality speakers and has chosen GS25 as the single 2.5" wideband for their car audio division. It has to be good.

From what I can can on the JL Audio website, for coaxial 3.5", the C2 is the highest choice (C6/C7 look to be component only and C3 some weird "convertible" form factor).
[QUOTE=Electric65;11777604]Köszönjük a megerősítést! Továbbra is a JL Audio C2-350x a legjobban ajánlott hangszóró a műszerfal sarkaihoz, ha erős erősítőt használunk?[/QUOTE

#Atomiclexus wrote several times that there is a (reasonable) financial limit to which an update can go. I think C2 is the limit.
First time poster here. Today I installed the JL Audio C2-350x with the Metra 72-8109 in the left and right side of the dashboard. Everything went smoothly, the only advice I have is when putting the right side grill back in, wedge something between the A-pillar and the grill as it is going to scuff up the fabric on your A-Pillar if you do not. The mounting holes were a few millimeters shy of perfect, but when you install them at an angle they straighten out when tightened. My initial impressions aren't favorable, though. I'm sure anything is an improvement over the stock speakers, but the center speaker seems to overpower everything. I was excited about the C2-350X because they are 83db@1w but have a bit of buyer's remorse as the improvement wasn't tremendous. In some videos I see the speaker cone vibrating aggressively but on the C2's it barely moves. Using the eq settings has made me a bit happier, but I'm wondering what all of your thoughts are on why this might be. Would replacing the center speaker fix things or make it worse? Are the C2-350x particularly power hungry and the stock pioneer amp isn't suited for it? Thank you in advance.

Reason: added a tip for right side grill
But specs are not sound so don't get too hung up on them. Give the speakers at least a few hours to break in but it's possible the JL's won't play loud enough compared to the center channel. I personally think a center channel for music shouldn't exist but that's another discussion.

You say you are not happy w this speaker ? What exactly is your dissapointment ? Is it quality of sound or is it that you cant get the volume of sound because it does not "move" like in someone elses video ? Garbage in vs Garabage out.... Everybody has their opinion on what sounds good. I can tell you that if you use high quality music information those speakers sound pretty darned good. If you use an FM station there is not great resolution and dynamic range to challenge most speakers. Great music files or streaming from a high quality service like Qobuz or Tidal can provide better than CD quality music. Also, even on high end services such as those, unless the music was recorded very well, a crappy recording is a crappy recording..... Take the advice above and let the speakers break in before you judge them for quality....if its very high volume you are after.....thats another story.

I'm sort of in the same boat - replaced the corners and while they definitely help, with surround on, the center is overpowering the corners. I would think swapping in a C2-350x for the center would even out everything in the front.
I replaced the 2 corner dash with Hertz Cento's and didn't get the quality I was expecting with mp3 audio files.....I already had surround turned off so my center channel wasn't too loud. I felt there was some sound balance issues but I did go in and adjust the hesd unit EQ settings and lowered mid and treble. That seemed to help.

The "Subwoofer" thread, started by AtomicLexus and added to by a few others who are "hardcore" great stereo guys have helped us a lot.
With over 300 posts its really a pain to read thru and sift the " wheat from the chaff."
When I decided to tackle changing the 3 front speakers and adding a small amp (I've got the NX350h) I did go thru every post, noted which were helpful to the conversion and followed the guidance. Recall that AtomicLexus said right at the get go, this is a bang for the buck endeavor and short of replacing the entire audio system these mods are a pretty healthy improvement . And, considering we are using a vehicle in a noisy environment. The modifications hit my sweetspot. Others may be more demanding .
You mentioned mp3 files,....they have their resolution limits, but the higher bitrate mp3's can sound pretty darned good in a vehicle if a well recorded song from a savy audio engineer put the information there to begin with......

Yeah! I read through that too! Thats where i got the inspiration for my install. I believe I posted in there also. I don't believe I wasn't expecting too much. Was just disappointed as I felt this premium Lexus sounds system did not sound better than previous premium sound systems I have heard in other cars....Bose on the Mazda and JBL on Toyota. After the speaker swap there was an improvement but things just sounded off and not quite right....the tweaking of the head unit EQ settings fixed this for me and I'm quite happy now.
