That's a good point, Billst. I hadn't considered your viewpoint.

I am still wondering why the remote park feature was disabled for 2022, 2023 Nx350h with the advanced park hardware (there are extra sensors in the front and back sides of the car), but was included in the 2024 cars. Was it a HW or Software shortcomings. If it was a programming issue, I hope to get the remote park feature back in a future firmware update.

Lawyer: what does this feature do?
Engineer: allows operating the vehicle during parking from outside.
Lawyer: Can you guarantee the operator won't run themselves over in the process?
Engineer: Well, its highly unlikely, but I suppose there is a "remote" (ha ha, cuz we all know engineers would have preferred to be stand up comics) possibility.
Lawyer: I don't like your attitude. Remove it!

May I ask what year is your RX and where do you generally live? I scoured all of California and that option does not exist anywhere for the RX 450H+

Yup, it's on my 2024 NX 350h, but I did not know about this feature until reading about it here.

Honesty, I am reluctant to try it without someone in the cockpit to take over...but what could go wrong, right??

I have only seen this on the most expensive RXs (high $77k+), but have not seen many lately in California. Here is one from CT.

Same. Wondering if those of you who have this feature, did Lexus put sensors in the side view mirrors to detect objects? That’s the only problem I have with parking assist (I don’t have advanced parking). I get plenty of warning that I’m about to hit my bumper on something, but nothing when my side view mirror is about to hit a pole. Seems like there should be sensors in the two things that stick out the farthest on the sides of the vehicle. I would be worried about using something that doesn’t detect an object is about to wreck the side mirrors. Or maybe it compensates by folding them in when remotely moving out of a tight spot? Let’s say you parked head-in in a store parking lot. Then, while you were shopping, two cars park on either side and box you in. If your mirrors were folded when you parked. But now it’s hard to open the doors enough to get in, and when the mirrors unfold when the NX is turned on, it would almost guarantee a scrape. What happens with remote park in this scenario? Maybe advanced park/remote park actually takes the side mirrors into account?

Thanks so much for confirming that it at least exists. All the RX450H+ didn’t not have this option at all in California. It’s crazy the markup on this car.. On the official Lexus website, you can add this option and the still get TOTAL MSRP for FULLY loaded 2024 RX 450H+ from Lexus is quoted at about $72k.

The Advanced Park is also $480 on my NX. Didn't say anything about remote park.

I have yet to find time to try it.

I think they added the Advanced Park (with Remote Park) on the 2024 RXs and now the 2025 NXs. Even on the Lexus website now, it shows two different versions for the 2025 NX: Advance Park for $250 and Advance Park with Remote for $480.

Lightbulb Advanced Park

Very interesting , very. very technical read in the Lexus manuals about auto-park and how to set up and how to use. If it fits your situation great, but it is almost one of those "technological solutions to a problem that did not exist" cases. It you have a specific assigned physical parking space you might consider it.

Good Luck.

YMMV,
MidCow3

P.S. my 2022 Lexus NX 350h Luxury has EVERY option except the power folding heated rear seats, I have Advanced Park and it is one of the several superfluous packages/options that I don't use.

I have to say I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t know about Remote Park when I put a down payment on a 2025 NX350h Luxury last month. I thought I was getting all the tech that was available. I see Advance Park only on my specs. I wonder if I can add Remote Park later?

did Lexus remove advance park function on NXs - Search Videos (bing.com)

What is "Remote ParK" ? Look above to see what "Advanced Park" does

YMMV,
