Default auto fold mirrors question

Tried a search, but nothing came up. Looked in the manual, but question was not completely answered. When wife pulls in garage, she normally folds mirrors in to get closer to side so there is more room for my car on other side. With the lexus, the auto light goes out and then locking does not result in the mirrors folding in. Have to hit the auto button after hitting the button to fold them out. Is there a way to have both. Be able to auto fold on lock and manually fold with button.. I believe the answer is no, but could be missing something...

Whenever I fold them manually, the auto fold is cancelled until I push the auto button again (2016 RX350). I believe the answer is no as well.

Same here. If she simply leaves them on auto, they'll fold when she locks it. If it's a clearance issue while driving through the garage door opening, she can fold manually, pull through, then switch back to auto, and when she gets out, lock it and they'll fold.
