Had the fuel pump recall done last year at about 145,000.
I just moved, which involved driving 1500 km over two days.
Shortly after gassing up, and about 100km from my destination, I got the code p125d71 and p1076. This was about 5 days ago. The codes are persistent despite clearing them several times.
im thinking it might be bad gas, so in another 100 km, I’ll be empty and I’ll choose a different brand of fuel and fill up again.
anyone else out there have this issue??

I have techstream at home, so checking and clearing codes and pretty easy.
My plan is to lower the fuel tank this week and confirm the discharge valve is installed correctly (the fuel pump recall was done a year ago, and we haven’t had a problem, so not sure why it wouldn’t be fine). Might have to buy a new one, if it is installed fine.
still holding out on bad gas, but I think that’s a long shot.
I’ll repost any updates.

You're welcome. I reckon bad gas would manifest through a low Knock Correction Learn Value in Techstream's engine data list and not through a stuck fuel valve actuator code. I could be wrong though.Originally Posted by nexus86

Got a chance to tackle this yesterday. Overall, fuel tank removal isn’t too bad, no special tools requires. Having two jack stands for reinstall were handy.
Upon inspection, the Pressure Discharge valve was not in its correct position. Also, there is a piece which attaches to it, one of the O rings was not the correct size (or it was, and it swelled). Luckily I have a lot of various sized O rings.
reinstalled, no issues yet. Time will tell if it worked. If the light comes back, I’ll probably just replace the pressure discharge valve.

Glad you have it sorted out for now. These cars are so reliable that when something goes bad, it most likely did so as a result of human error. 😄Originally Posted by nexus86
