My wild guess, could it be the cover of change holder?

Thanks for the closeups Rogerh00. Really nice materials, detail, and fit/finish - well above the competition!

I like the coin holder idea, but what's the silver square button do? Almost looks like you can press down on it, but that likely would not make sense mechanically if the strap is functional and to lift the cover...

I can't help but recall the cladding from the past on some vehicles but it was a lot more. Think of the Pontiac Aztec. It think it was to help prevent corrosion in the northern climes where they use a lot of road salt. Don't need it now where I'm at. I just hope these don't look like a typical tack on.
The cladding gives off a more rugged appearance I suppose..

Haha let's wait for the reviews first to declare that.

I wonder what the dash looks like if you don't get navigation since this is the first time remote touch is built into it...rotary ****?

probably because they determined the market for it is too small. hybrid buyer into mpg and luxury but not sport. sporty buyer doesn't care much about mpg.

actually Henry/rominl already sat in one - CL website post and pictures about it details his opinions (good quality and feel)... and he is pretty level headed dude as well.

CL was invited to photoshoot, and thats the article about it... so it was real NX on the stage :-)

i would guess it will be the same as in new CT200h? meaning the dash stays the same, just **** instead of touch pad.

Although, quite possibly there will be same interface just different options - with enform/nav and without. Not sure.

Naw notice the space where the parking brake is, that is the manual toggle to release if you don't want to use Auto

I concur. Lexus will have another hit with the NX. Top four sellers for Lexus will be the NX, RX, ES and IS...

Some of the higher quality pieces of plastic Lexus uses in parts of other Lexus models all here. Thus far I'm impressed

The only poor plastic I can find thus far is the plastic cover for the lower controls ie BSM, Trunk opener etc.. its the same waxy feeling one they use in the IS.
