Official Lexus NX thread
Thought some RX folks as myself might be interested.

Thanks, if those shots are out there, more will show up soon. I bet it will have a large 4cyl and no hybrid system. Even if it had the same one as the ES300h, that one is only rated at 40mpg so this one being even a small SUV would probably get less. I'm getting 30-32+ in my RX450h. But of course it wouldn't be $55K plus either.

I just came across this nice clip for the 2014 IS the bottom of the Lexus lineup. In it, they talk of weather/traffic being free while complaining about the backup camera being an option, but still a nice write up. http://www.11alive.com/video/default...video|umbrella . Maybe the new RX 'mini' and/or all the 2014 models will have these items free
.
.
Yeah, the free weather/traffic will be great and I do expect it on the NX and future new product offerings.
BTW, the rumors the last year or so pointed the new NX to be built on the slightly larger RAV4 platform and there were spy shots from LeftLaneNews that supported that. Not sure to trust this latest report as the NX would be way too small.

My bet is on the mule LeftLaneNews caught last year being the NX, not this latest CT mule. Some state the below spy shots is the RAV4 , but I can't disagree more.
Some parts like the front bumper and lights sure, it is RAV4 to trick the general public, but note things you can't fake like roofline length, roof slope, rear window slope, and hatch height. If you look carefully, all the clues pointing to a non-RAV4 are there so what else can it be especially considering the signature Lexus mirrors bolted on the door and dual exhaust hinting at the new 2.0 turbo engine?

If this indeed a smaller Lexus SUV than the RX, I say go for it and offer more model options.
To that I say, if this is a re-skinned RAV 4 with Wood, Leather & a "L" on it's grill, I say total F-ing fail Lexus!
Why introduce a "diluted' product to your premium brand. After all, there's no utilitarian comparisons to the RX (the RX is not a re-badged Highlander), nor the GS etc., as the LX570 is to the Land Cruiser. There's long been comparisons between the Camry & the ES but the ES has really matured into it's own identity of the L brand (though this is highly subjective).
My opinion is, what's with the HS& CT models? Sure they are nice, but not Lexus nice at that price point.
My point is, keep true to the L brand and stop with these quasi-luxo-models that wears that L on it's grill. This is 2013 and competition is fierce, why release a model to have chatter of RAV 4?

And they are doing it because all that competition is doing is moving down market.
For some markets indeed like Europe, this would indeed be a good option. If Lexus ever gets to Mexico (still waiting), I am sure this would do well given the market and roads there.

Bring it to market already!
