Big problem when Idling
When I brake and the car comes to a standstill the car idles at a very low rpm but when I let go of the brake pedal it idles normally again.
So it must be related to the brake somehow,
Can it be the power brake pump?
I,m thinking the pump must be about to stall but not yet but it became hard to turn and it,s slowing down the engine speed.
Can any of you come up with a better idea of what this might be?
I really depend on my car and normally I don,t get into this kind of trouble with this car.
But I,m afraid of driving it now.
Are you sure it is only when you press the brake and not when the car is in drive vs park or neutral?
I could potentially see a vacuum booster causing an issue, though usually it would be a higher rpm rather than lower... The "pump" is not a pump at all, it is just run off of the vacuum of the engine - it doesn't turn at all...
How low of an RPM are we talking?
My router decided to call it quits right after I wrote this thread so I could'nt go online till today.
Meanwhile I sent the car in for repair at the dealer they said they replaced the MAF sensor.
Everything is normal now but I think it's weird that it could be the MAF because I didn't have a CEL and it only happened when I pressed the brake.
But the dealer said that there is a lotmore that is wrong with my car and I need to service it there so they can tell me what other stuff is wrong with it.
I hope there are no big issues

But I'm thinking I'm gonna do that the next time I change the oil instead of doing it myself I'll let them inspect the car and tell me what's wrong with it
