1994 GS300 Code 41 & 71
I have a 1994 GS300 that consistently displays a 41 & 71 fault codes along with “check engine” & “TRAC OFF” and the “TRAC” light comes on intermittently, I haven’t been able to interrogate the codes when the “TRAC” light is on. I have found some old posts that talk about this but haven’t found any resolution.
For code 41 I replaced the Throttle Position Sensor but that didn't fix it, for code 71 the EGR valve has been cleaned and the EGR gas temp. Sensor replaced. After replacing these parts and clearing the codes they come back within 20 miles of driving. When the intermit “TRAC” light comes on it feels like the Traction Control is active because it feels like one of the brakes is applied but I thought the traction control was disabled when the check “engine light” is on, so I’m unconfused and out of ideas. Please help.

Did you reset the computer after you fixed the problems? If not, or you did not fix it, disconnect the battery for 10 minutes or so then try again.
If the codes come back again, you likely have something else going on within those systems. I know TPS's are VERY finnicky animals. If you do not get them installed and adjusted PERFECTLY, they will throw codes, but your engine may be running fine.

Code 41 - TPS circuit Open or Shorted.
Since you already changed the TPS, check the harness and determine which one has an open or short. Check power and ground on the circuit.
Code 71 - EGR Malfunction
Since you already changed the EGR tiself, when you apply vacuum to the EGR, does the engine stumble? If not, passages are clogged, you would need to clean the EGR passages. But if it does stumble then check the EGR VSV if it's working and also make sure it's not shorted. Last but not least, check the EGR temperature sensor if it has an open circuit.
When you finish, reset the code.
