Default AC Filter
I am new to this forum... you all have some great discussion topics. Real quick, does anybody know where to get an AC filter for less than the dealership's cost? 100 bucks, does that sound right?

100 bucks is too much...I got mine from the dealer for $58 when I bought the car.

a $100 that is to high i got mine air filter for $45 from the lexus dealership but this is for my gs i don't know about the models:eek:

Goto www.kragen.com. They have it for 32.00 including shipping and they have it in stock. I got mine in about 7 days. Part number is CF8769.

Default scissors
With a pair of scissors and a $15 top of the line furnace filter from home depot you can make three Lexus A/C filters.

I use 3M allergy filter for mine. You can cut out about 5-6 pieces to fit the GS AC filter for $10

I can afford to change my filter every 3 months

Default pleats
I compress the pleats even tighter than they come in the original filter assuming I get less resistance to airflow that way.
