Is there any specific reason you are wanting to on a brand new vehicle? Lexus coolant is good for at least 100k miles...

I was just under the impression that it should be changed every 30K even with these "long life coolant." I don't really mind doing a drain and fill for the coolant since it's usually pretty easy job at least for Honda and Nissan products. But from what I've been reading....I should wait until at least 90K (to be on the conservative side) for the coolant "flush" and transmission "drain and fill." Is that the typical maintenance intervals for these two?

BTW, the car has 37K.

You can do it as often as you like, but I'd wait til minimum 50K... The Lexus coolants really do last 100k unlike the GM dexcool stuff which is crap...

And I'll be honest, the easy way is to have a shop do it, but if you are dead set on doing it yourself, just buy a can of radiator flush and follow the directions... typically, I would drain the radiator using the drain plug at the bottom, refill with water and flush chemical, let it warm up and run for a while with the heater on, then I take the thermostat out, disconnect the upper radiator hose, flush and drain everything, then refill with your choice of coolant...

I'll leave it both in til 90K. Only oil changes, and air filters from now on I guess. Thank you for your responses.

I was thinking off the ATF.
Coolant is even easier. It is just the problem of where to properly dispose the old fluid

Actually... draining the radiator will only get about half of the coolant...

you need to flush it, or pull freeze plugs/block drain plugs to get it all...
