I noticed a bit of steam coming up from the top of my hood by the windsheild. looked at my TEMP gauge and it was HOT. I pull over, pop the hood, and find a hose is leaking what looks like coolant.
Here is a closeup of the bottom of the hose(crappy cell pic at night). Goes down beside the engine. It has a green stripe around the bottom of the hose at the connection. The fluid is leaking from where the hose connects to the engine. Getting it checked out tomorrow. What could be the problem?
You like when you remove the intake to replaced the starter you accidently hit that heater pipe. You may disrupt the o-ring around that pipe or cracked that metal pipe.

So is it fixable without replacing anything if the o-ring is just "disrupted"? If the metal is cracked, what will need to be replaced? A piece or a whole assembly?
Nuum, I called and the "metal pipe" that the hose attaches to is a complete piece that attaches to the side of the intake manifold. It is $120 and needs two gaskets that are $11 each.
I know one of a friend did the same thing and he removed that metal pipe and used JB welder. It's work great and he has no problem at all. I'd never said that....
that looks like the hoses that are attached to the rear bypass joint where the coolant flows. they had to have been removed for them to get to your starter when you changed the starter. did they change the gaskets on them?
you'll have to remove the manifold again to get to this.
