There does tend to be a slight pause when the accelerator is pressed in order to move the vehicle from standstill. This is probably due to the fly-by-wire gas pedal (ECT-i Electronically Controlled Throttle - with intelligence). I would like to know if other LS400's with ECTi suffer from this.
On my 2000 ES300, I have a hesitation problem when I accelerate hard from a standstill. Coincidence or not, it has happened when pulling out in front of traffic (turning right) and punching it.
