Question

There does tend to be a slight pause when the accelerator is pressed in order to move the vehicle from standstill. This is probably due to the fly-by-wire gas pedal (ECT-i Electronically Controlled Throttle - with intelligence). I would like to know if other LS400's with ECTi suffer from this.

Default Same on my ES300

On my 2000 ES300, I have a hesitation problem when I accelerate hard from a standstill. Coincidence or not, it has happened when pulling out in front of traffic (turning right) and punching it. The car will almost come to a stand still and then take off after a couple of seconds. Dealer said they had no idea.

Default WOT

When you suddenly go from idle to Wide Open Throttle it takes a few milliseconds to reconfigure the engine and transmission from a good mpg system to a growling tiger, the engine value timing and intake plenum and the transmission torque converter lock-up.

The advantages of a manual transmission, my Porsche engine "knows" what I'm doing BEFORE I pop the clutch.

Default Work!

I'm basically retired and my wife is running the company we founded jointly back in 72. The company builds new legacy computers, Nova, Eclipse, PDP-11, HP-1000.

strobedata.com

If you search for "pioneer 10" and "Osprey" you will find an interesting story about how we "rescued" the pioneer 10 program.

I admit to being a knowledge freak, I become interested in just about anything that somehow catches my mind's eye.

The internet has become my "book or knowledge".
