Default Jim Hudson Lexus..NEVER AGAIN

Alright here's the deal. Jim Hudson Lexus told me I needed a whole new head, $4000.00. I told them no way.

This past Monday I took it to Charlotte to Hendrick Lexus. They replaced the VVT cam pulley for less than $1000.00! It got rid of the high idling and the VSC and VSC OFF lights are off and there is no more p1349 code.

Like I said in my other thread, Jim Hudson was just BS'ing me to make some money. Never again will I take my car to Jim Hudson Lexus in Columbia, SC. I will always take it to Charlotte for now on. I am also going to try and get my money back from Jim Hudson.

Hendrick Lexus said, that the proper amount of torque was not applied to the VVT cam pulley when me and my dad did the timing belt which caused it to bend.

I'll pick it up tomorrow but I was just getting used to driving the loaner RX330.

Sidney

Sidney,

I'm moving your post to the maintence forum because we don't have a good spot yet for feedback on local dealers.

I'm personally a big fan of Hendrick Lexus, they've always taken great care of me and my two Lexus.

Hope you can make it up to one of our local meets someday!

Sidney,
I'm glad that you have the problem resolved. When you first posted about the timing belt and water pump, I warned you. There are things that you can do and can not do! Good luck with the car.
