Okay, where are my Lexus Techs?

Went to Autozone today and they said the only code coming up is P1349. Looked it up and it says, "VVT System Malfunction (Bank 1)".

Called the Lexus dealer and of course they really didn't want to help but he did say that it may be that the timing is off. But I guarantee that it is NOT off. After spending about 3 or 4 hours just trying to set the timing because it was either a half tick or whole tick off. When I finally got it, I double checked it to make sure. I also got my dad down there to check it. So I KNOW the timing is not off. Besides, I was told if the timing was off on the GS 300, it would be major damage.

So does anyone have anything on this? I'd look in my FSM but I am not at home and won't be until this evening and I am an impatient person, so I was hoping someone could tell me something this afternoon.

Well, I don't have any of the equipment to run all the tests. I am going to take it in and let this garage down the street run the test for me. They actually test the car for free for my dad since he used to work there.
