I was wondering if any of you can help me out with leasing. My wife and I currently own a 2012 GX 460 and are looking to move up to a 2017 LX 570. Usually we have bought our cars outright but have started to consider leasing being that we like to change our cars often. We live in the north suburbs of Chicago and are wondering what people are paying in this area and around the nation for something like a four year 12,000 mile lease? Also is there anything else that I should know that's important when it comes to leasing that I should be trying to negotiate with the dealership?
There are no incentivized leases on an LX ever i.e its about the same price to do straight financing @ a good rate....so unless its going to be a business write-off, just don't
One of the other things that is pulling us toward leasing is that in 3-4yrs the Lx lline could be redesigned and as nice as this one is it does not strike me as a design that would hold up over time. We do own a business and would be able to write some of it off. I had one dealership as for $1350per month for a 4yr/12000. Another dealership today offered a 3yr/36000 for 1200 per month.
I leased a lot of vehicles so let me give couple tips as 1200/1300 per months seems like a rip off. I have bought 2016 LC for 1300/month payment for 5 years which I will own at the end.
First of all don't tell dealer that you want to lease. First negotiate like you are planning to buy. The lower the prices the smaller difference to residual value which means lower payment. Second find out what is residual value and interest rate is. After knowing those two pieces of info and negotiated prices, just plug those into a lease calculator (plenty online).
BTW in NC advertised lease on LX570 with 0 down and 36 months is 1019/month. After a little negotiations you can bump for a lower payment and 12k/miles per year.
Those lease "deals" are almost always BS because they don't include sales tax or dealer processing fees.
They never do, so if a deal says $6k out of pocket that doesn't include the taxes or fees...so it's a ton more out of pocket on a vehicle his price if you pay upfront taxes in your state, or considerably more a month.
Well we ended up pulling the trigger and leasing a 2017,. I know it is more expensive then buying but we liked the idea of owning the car for 4yrs to see if we truly like it. Also, who knows by then there might be a new model and if we want it we would still lose money on a trade even if we purchased the car to start with, We got our payments down to $999.00 for 48months plus $6000 down. The buyout at the end of the lease would be 50k and some change. We love the car white/ w/cabernet int. fully loaded. We came out of a 2012 GX460 fully loaded and this car is night and day compared to it. Much better ride, less swaying, and many cool safety features. Love the interior. Thanks for all the help!

Congratulations. I have the exact combination. The Cabernet interior was my only must have option. Enjoy it in good health.

We Just Leased a 17 LX570 with every option. We traded in our 15 LX570 Lease. The Dealership had a awful month of January and we got it on the last day of the month. We got 4 years 7500 miles for $867 a month with Key replacement. They took an $8000 hit to make the deal. It a weekend driver only for us so 7500 miles a year is plenty. We got an unbelievable deal! NO MONEY DOWN EITHER!!!!

Not many could live with the 7500 miles per year or 625 miles a month.

Hope you do not drive much.
We have 2 other vehicles that we drive daily. A 2013 Lexus RX450H Hybrid and a 2016 Lexus CT200H Hybrid. We only drive the 2017 LX570 on weekends not even 50 miles a week and on occasional road trip. So 7500 is plenty.
