Put yourself in a hypothetical situation, let's say you leased and then decided to buy a used car afterwards instead of leasing again? $61k for a 3 year old LX you know the history of isnt a bad deal.
But it I agree with you in concept, best to lease and turn it in or buy it from the get go.

Thank you everyone for the advice. I decided against leasing the LX. I called and told the dealer and they tried one last time to secure the deal by offering the same $ but with 10,000 miles per year. I just can't get over the MPG. I've already found an RX450h I have put a deposit down on instead that will be arriving in 2 weeks.

Well You cant go wrong with the RX450H as a daily driver. I love mine. And the only reason we leased the 17 LX is that the grand kids keep multiplying and the RX is to small when we have everyone which is about every other weekend. So the LX sits in the garage all week until I rush home on Friday evening to wake the beast.
Congratulations on the RX450H. We really like our RX450H. In stop and go SoCal traffic, the RX450H REALLY SHINES IN THE MPG DEPARTMENT.
BUT for out of town trips on weekends, the RX450h is too small with two adults and three teenagers and THEIR STUFF!!! . So we take either the LX570 or the RV on weekends or long trips. The LX gets around 16 mpg on highway whereas our RV gets around 8 mpg (depending if we run the generator a lot or not). LOTS more room in the RV, but not so good to drive around in the metro congested areas due to the size (31 feet long!!!).
