Just wanted to know if anyone has some issue with the clarity of the backup camera on the LX570's. Have 2013 and didn't pay much attention until I got on my friend's 2014 GX460 and how it had much more clear resolution and detail on the images. Now mine looks very blurry and despite cleaning the camera, it still looks unclear. Any thoughts? Should I complain to the dealer?
I think the license plate lights play a big role with the clarity of the backup camera during night time in the GX. My wife has a 2015 GX and the backup camera is sharper compared to my 13 LX 570. I guess the camera is a older technology.
This was just discussed on the GX forum https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...-question.html
It appears there is an adjustment the dealer can do to make it better. My 2015 is horrible compared to my 2012. I will be making an apt to take mine in very soon.

I am not sure how they could make it better without changing some hardware.
I changed my reverse lights to LEDs and it helped a bit with the clarity... and I will agree the tech in our SUVs (mine is a 2014) is a bit outdated IMO. The clarity in the screen and reverse cam in the RCF compared to the LX is unmatched... Lexus needs to hurry up and give us a new model LX
Update: No big surprise here but the dealer said all is normal..... As suspected they said there is no adjustment for the camera and that it is what it is. They compared it to others on the lot and said it looked the same. I suggested they look at a 2012 but they did not have one. Guess this is just one more thing Lexus cheapened up on to save some money.
