Default Night View

Does anyone know if the nightview option from the 470 will be on the 570?

Hmm somehow this option isn't shown anywhere on lexus.com?
http://www.lexus.com/models/LX/features/pricing.html

However, this LX570 article does mention the Night View feature.
http://www.imakenews.com/lexusofbroo...e000899142.cfm

"How about night vision? Using infrared technology, the available Lexus Night View can sense the reflected light of an object beyond the reach of the low-beam headlamps. The moment an object is detected, the resulting image is projected onto the lower portion of the windshield to alert the driver to what's ahead."

So it is an option or is it not? And what's this "Ultra-Premium Pckg"?

Nothing personal but I had night view on my last LX470 and it was useless to me. It never showed me a thing I could not see with my headlights. Anyone have this found it usefull?

Don't know how well the nightvision works, but I installed HID 4300K headlights, and they are far brighter than the OEM lights.

When I ordered my last 470, the dealer told me it was a waste of money for our area and thought if someone lived in the mountains and ofter had deer in the road it may be useful...
Did that little square on the windshield bother you? It seemed like it would for me

The reflected image is pretty low and the brightness was adjustable so it did not bother me. I tried and used it a good bit but never found that it indicated more on the screen that what my headlights would light up. I tried and it was really a useless option in my opinion. I just quit using it! The hump on the dash made it hard to clean the windows! <vbg>

Sorry to say it was a waste of money

But a cool option to list as you were selling it...I bet the buyer was excited about it
