Default Need quick help with trade in value!!!

Have received a couple quotes from dealers. Want to know from everyone out there...hopefully even some dealer guy lingering in here, what a fair trade in value is. I feel like I am being low balled. I am basically already paying MSRP on a 2008 LX570.

2004 LX 470
56600 miles
Cream color/beige interior
100% absolute mint condition
Loaded with everything except night vision.
Every bit of maintenance done at the dealer and on time.
Tires only have about 15000 miles on them (new from dealer).

it's going to be worth about 34K but it's also the right car(meaning it has all the options and books and records!) So you might be able to squeeze 35K out of them! I'm in the business myself! GL!

I would guess the trade-in would be around $28-30K with retail around $31-34K. Keep in mind that if it's a lexus dealer you're trading it in at (and it sounds like it since you're interested in a 570), the price takes a hit about every $10K mi. The biggie is at 50K mi since that's when the factory warranty expires. The next big drop is at 60K mi (60K mi service is needed, etc.). Look at the KBB and plug in different mileage values for the same vehicle. You'll notice a big drop at 60K mi. I think the dealer can only sell it as certified pre-owned if it has less than 60K miles.

Lexus will certify up until 70K.

I would think Lexus would give you the best trade in around because for one, you are a current customer and you are buying a 570. Plus they will be taking a 470 in on trade that is ideal to certify that they will be able to sell for more profit.

Over two months ago I went to my local Lexus dealer to find the trade-in value of my impeccable condition 2006 LX470 with only at the time 23500 miles appx., the salesman said between $37,000 and $45000. Highway robbery, I said.
I too wanted to get the LX570.
Instead of being taken advantage off I decided to keep this SUV a lot longer, consequently I bought a new set of tires the Latitude Tour HP from Michelin.
Which I am very happy with.
My new game plan is to wait till the end of the year, perhaps the prices of the LX570 might drop.
In any case I will not trade-in this SUV, I would rather give it away.

I sold my 2005 LX for $41000 or 42000 in Jan. (sorry, I forgot)
48000 miles, loaded (no night vision), white/tan leather, invision headrest dvd's.
put it on craigslist and exporters will call. get a cashiers check at the bank and verify funds. exporters are selling them like crazy overseas. Mine went to Russia in a container.

About 3 months ago my wife and I went our local Lexus dealership here in Austin to look at trading in her LX for an LS. The salesman basically told us not to trade our LX in and to place it on Craigslist just like you did. He, too said that the Russians are buying these vehicles up like crazy and they get a half dozen or so calls a week from overseas buyers.

We ended up not buying an LS, however, as we get closer to the dreaded 90k on the LX service, I find myself asking my wife about once a week if she really wants to keep the truck.
