It's the prettiest car in most parking lots where ever I go and love the power.

I just can't get comfortable in the seat. It's like the left bolster just won't lay down. I find myself sitting at an angle with my knees pointed towards the gear shifter to keep my leg off of the far left bolster because it is so uncomfortable.

All the controls in this car are too complicated and I'm not some fuddy-duddy who doesn't know how to use technology. I love technology and gadgets and consider it to be a hobby.

This car is just a big complicated mess!! I drove my mother's 2014 LS last week and it did not have the blind spots and super complicated screen in my opinion. Felt like a much smaller car even though it's not really that much smaller. This car feels huge, like a boat. My wife hates it too.

I came from a 2015 Q70L and I miss it so much. It was a simpler car and the transmission shifted sportier which made it funner to drive. This LS seems to have crazy blind spots, thank God for the technology in it otherwise I would have already crashed it.

Anyone else have buyers remorse?
I do. I have a very serious case of buyers remorse. I can live with every other downside of this vehicle but not the driver seat with that terrible side bolster. Did you get a solution to yours?

We are to assume that the side boster is adjusted as much as possible? And opened all the way?
That the passenger seat also does the same thing?
That you deflated all the internal bladders and reset them?
Just asking for clarity.
Over the last 12 years I have had some back hamstring issues due to my tennis playing. My BMWs, had the incredible adjusting sport seats in my 5 series. The GS350 and now this LS500 were also good.. No two bodies are the same so there is no way to say its the car or the person. All I can say is I need different settings to deal with different pains. 4 different cars. All different. I had pain, its me, not the car. But all of them were able to adjust so much it was just finding the right solutions.
If the seat is broken, thats one thing. If the adjustments are not being full utilized that is another. And of course if the body is changing, thats too matters. Recently played in a tournament and had a two hour drive home. I had to really play with the seats. I deflated all the lumbar and that inflater thing that is just above the *** and added some back. I never had a car that had that kind of adjustment. Side boosters are of course a adjustable, but perhaps something below is pushing you there. My wife was also having trouble with her seat but she had basically intensified like everything rather than open up or deflate all the adjustments, THEN start adding some back here and there. There are simply too many settings for her and she had them all fully inflated and “radical”. She is 5’7 and 116lbs. Not a big person.
I find myself that some radical tilts that don’t seem comfortable at first relieve pressure points that cause some discomfort. But thats my body, not the car.
I never spend a lot of time in a ls460.
Reminds me of friend who was really unhappy with his BMW entertianment system. He had the premium sysstem with a eq. He kept adding bass and treble because he wanted more. I recalibrated it as I did mine and asked him to not change it for two weeks. He loved it. He had too many things set higher and higher and was not letting the music do its thing. When you get it right the volume button is what you need.
For most of the time the concierge settings are really great. Fittle with tempeture and the seats will cool or heat as needed.
I rarely have to use settings and thus the touch pad is rarely an issue. Often I also shut off the screen as I find it distracting.
I use apple car play for Waz, sirius, and Tidal music streaming.

Well I guess I started a s*** storm with this thread! Lol.

Yes, the drivers seat is still very uncomfortable... I've made every adjustment possible and the left bolster still cuts into my thigh!

Still the prettiest car in most parking lots and still has endless power. Unfortunately those two things must not matter to me as much as I thought because I mostly sit in traffic at an odd angle in my seat trying to get comfortable. Grrr...

No doubt that pain deletes all joy from owning this car!

Just read this entire thread. I still can't believe how badly they messed up their flagship.

What an incredible disappointment from Lexus. They totally failed and caused many customers to go elsewhere. Less room than an ES, awful styling, the unconscionable decision to put that spindle grille on their most important car, no V8, nobody needs 10 gears for god sake all that gear hunting would annoy me to no end, the track pad was a failure, overly sporty suspension (the LS has always been a LUXURY car, not a SPORTS LUXURY), I could go on.

No way this thing survives for another generation. What's next, a triple turbo 4 with a 12 speed and 22 inch wagon wheels standard from the factory??

You're not allowed to talk like that in the LS sub-forum, some guys are highly sensitive to that sort of smack talk.

I'm not sure there will be a next gen LS but don't be surprised if it's the only Lexus car with anything above a 4--banger engine LOL the ES will lose the V6 for sure. Rumors say the LS might go all electric, but yeah it will have the biggest rims you've ever seen and no spare tire.

****ting on our cars by those who don’t own one is kind of rude.
As for you, this is no doubt ****?
Not sure I get the motivations.
Luxury cars are illogical, they are not efficient, and style is subjective and perhaps obnoxious.
Most of us freaking love our cars.
The TTV6 out performs the 460 v8. Simple.
Reasons? Market response? All out there in the numbers. All luxury sedans sales are lower over the years. Not just lexus.
“I hate it”. Have at it. Go on like your car somehow done you wrong and you moved on. Have you?

Are the TTv8’s by the Teutonic gods really that bulletproof? Of course not. No car is perfect. Is the ES perfect? Do any of them have any issues or repairs? Of course they do.

For most that do have issues most forums try to help sort that perhaps has been experienced by others and lend an hand. Chime in and say “yeah, its why I left” seems pointless.
For those fanboys of previous models that love their models and don’t understand why Lexus went in a certain direction its not for us to speak for them is it? But, we own this model and made our choices. Some will have a bad experience and some will buy them in the secondary market at a lower price and Love it.
“LSFAN” obviously you need to ask the mods if you can change your name. But at some point you were smitten with the car and was all about making videos, and doing what ever you do and sharing it. You were part of the community here.
But does anyone here go to the ES sites and try to cut down others happiness with their vehicles? Your happy with your choice. Do you need to validate your choice over and over again by trolling another community? That how it works?
I don’t own my GS, or my 5 bmw any more and don’t visit those sites to validate my choice. When I visit the GS site its with the understanding I am in another community. To say “Yeah I had that problem and its why I left” seems pointless.
Luxury cars are an endulgence. Long hood, short rear, smaller interior space. Those who want largeness seek bigger offerings. Might be a BMW, might be a Range Rover. Its their money.
Enjoy your ES your FWD, your battery weight distribution, your great MPG, and be happy with what you got, and leave the rest of us to wallow in our reduced rear headroom, fast as **** 0-60 times that outperforms the v8, and our idiot infotainment system that we rarely use because we set things as we like it, our lumpy seats, and our magnificent ML sound system!

For those that enjoy the 460, keep it or get one. If you need big head room in back seat, don’t get the 500. If you can’t be comfortable with the infotainment system, you know this before you buy it. If you want a TTv8, get a german build. Seriously, lexus don’t owe anybody a thing.
The world is changing, car buying is changing, EV’s are a future unknown, Hybrids are great and have compromises, so do ICE, and EV’s too.
Lexus is not government, not a religion, and not your blood relative. They make cars. We either buy them or not. They either hold up their reputation or not as reliable.

Many customers got LX500 other SUV. Sedans sales are down for many years by Lexus and other brands. The GS is gone. They let it run its course. BMW 5, Mercedes E, and Audi A6 do well in Europe and China and it justifies the continuence. Lexus was never big sellers there.
The old days are gone. Those who are buying LS500 new are few. Used, its. Great value to those who think so. Simple really.
Not as smooth as a 460. Not everyone is looking for that. Did Lexus fail? If you were on the board of directors and approved a massive funding for a state of the art no holds back sedan that would sell for 120k and still face a world that wants EV’s at that price or SUV then that would be another form of failure. Not to the fanboy car buy or “Fan”, but to shareholders.
Ford stopped making cars not called Mustangs. GM is barley recognizable. Chrysler makes a minivan. Thats it. Things change. Lexus build its brand on building facismile flagship cars to under cut Mercedes, the leader then, and build a brand on it. It worked. That was 1989. They build a brand that builds transportation vehicles that are reliable and desired. The LS? Its a dinosaur until its something else.

Knock off the rude personal comments folks or do not post (posts removed). .

some of the folks who seem to be doing nothing but trolling the 5LS forum have had their access to this section removed.

I think this thread has run its course
