I have said it from the beginning, but it reminds me of the Infiniti M/Q70. My opinion hasn't changed even with seeing it in person. The car is disproportionate IMO. The front end is too slimmed down and the rear is more bulky. The S-Class and 7-Series have a much better presence. Hell, even the G90 looks more proportionate. I think the new LS will sell well to Lexus loyalist, but won't convert buyers from other brands (mainly the Germans). My neighbor just bought a new A8 and I asked if he even considered the LS and his response was "absolutely not".

Compared to more "professional" photos from Lexus or auto journalists, these photos kind of capture it a little more naturally and it's looks really weird from certain perspectives. Disproportionate and oddly asymmetrical depending on which angle you're looking at it. The front overhang sticks out too far and that wheel gap makes the body versus wheel size way out-of-proportioned.
Man, they should have just made it a large Panamera with a hatchback. The noise intrusion from the hatch area is a non-issue as I have one. It's almost like they tried to capture that essence without the guts to actually do it. They would have better positioned themselves as well, create a niche unto itself and it's way more practical versus trying to compete against the S class.

Bear in mind that the car with the air suspension is supposed to "rise up" when turned off to allow for easier entry and exit. I wouldn't assume thats the stock rolling height level.
I do agree it has some weird angles. Have to see it in person.

Nah, it looks fine. Actually it looks like a giant ES Seriously, just check out the C pillar shake and the sloping trunk lid.
Wide angle phone lenses tend to stretch things out. That's probably why the front looks so long.

All you have to do is drive an LS and an ES and the many ways the LS is superior are very apparent. I've had multiple of both.

No rose colored glasses there LOL. Its is absolutely a lesser car in many ways. Again, people in Corollas may not think their Corollas are lesser cars than your ES300h, but they are.

LOL, okay. Then why don't you go enjoy talking about your ES and let those of us who have interest in the LS discuss it? This is the 2018 LS forum.

Enjoy! I considered, multiple times, buying another LS; I previously bought a new 1997 LS. Each time I considered the depreciation and mileage, and each time I decided against another LS. I noticed you have a 2015 LS. Considering what you paid for it, its mpg, the cost of premium gas, and the cost of maintenance, how do you feel about its depreciation and cost to operate?
