I have noticed that my Tire Pressure displays are blank. I check the pressures and that are all within normal limits. This has been happening more on colder mornings. When it warms up the display will give me readings from time to time. Does anyone know why this is happening?
When 1 out of 5 sensors has a weak battery, the display for all tires goes blank. Time for new sensors. Places like Costco and Tire chain stores sell reliable sensors and install and program for you. Don't buy cheap ones online, too many problems reported.

Okay Thank You for the info. I plan on purchasing 4 new OEM sensors
How close to needing tires are you? Cheaper to do then ...
Excellent point. Just hit the display button and show a different screen. A tire store will be open to negotiating a discount or even free install when you buy 4 tires. BTW, I'm guilty of not checking the condition of my original spare tire. Look for cracked sidewalls and check the date of manufacture. It seems wasteful to replace an unused 8 year old tire, but an old tire can blow out and cause deadly accident. It's OK to have a non-matching cheaper tire as a spare unless you regularly include it in rotation.

Or just never let it run low or remove it from the trunk. Both my LSs have their OE spare tire and both are perfectly fine still, same story with the RXs and on one of them we had to use it.

Tires are new but I will replace when I instal my winter tires next month. I just went to the dealer and with a discount they are $77 each plus a new gasket kit for another $6.99 each. Any suggestions on some other brand that's good but not as expensive as the Lexus OE?

The blank tire pressure display can be caused by Radio Frequency Interference. The source of the RFI may be in your car, such as a malfunctioning radar detector, power converter, WiFi equipment, tracking device. etc. Or, it may be something that you, or someone with you, is carrying, such as a malfunctioning cell phone, iPad, laptop computer, etc. Other causes could be sources that you can drive away from, such as malfunctioning lighting, power transmission equipment, gate and garage door equipment, malfunctioning amateur radio equipment, etc. Other possibilities include civil and military radio transmitters. Your owner's manual addresses this subject.

Is it just the newer LS models that default to the blank TPMS screen if a single sensor goes out? On my ‘07 I had one sensor with a week battery that was not reporting. The other four sensors were reporting and showed in the display. The faulty sensor showed as a dashed line with no value.

Correct. There have been multiple changes to the system.

My 2014 currently has the spare reading blank but the other 4 tires reading fine. It's going in to the dealer on Monday for a state inspection, coffee and donuts ( ) so I'll ask them what the deal is.
