Bumper cover on my 09 has seen better days. Most attachment clips are broken, paint cracked, etc. Went to body shop today and received estimate. They do all work-$1250. I can do all of the work other than paint. Thoughts on that price? Don't have time to shop around. Thanks
Oops, did not realize prices are that high in US nowadays. Ouch. Last time I had mine done using dealership procedures, paint and equipment it was around 400usd paintjob+assembly (plus 300 for new bumper). And yes, obviously complete match and factory approved paint process or bust! In my case using proper stuff and machines (and trained hands of body shop guys) fetched a complete and total success, like _ideal_ and it takes a bunch to satisfy me lol. And it was sable/truffle mica! One of The hardest colors to match (4T5 I think).
Truffle Mica is really hard to match. My 2010 ES350 was that color and I had the bumper replaced and they never got it matched right, I actually quit using the shop and got rid of the car because of it.
When I had the rear bumper of my LS460 repainted at the shop I use now, it was $1,000 and that didn't even include replacing the bumper. For an all new bumper they have to blend it into the fenders and the hood even to get it to match right.

Yeah that color is hell, prices here are indeed bad since no one outside of a given industry really knows how to work on anything anymore. Prices would make you shocked at what some pay for repairs, talking $600 for a radiator fan on a 04 jeep and similar when it's only a $186 job
Just had a rocker panel replaced to one of my LS's just because the car has only 13,000 miles and the panel had some little scratches, the cost of a new one painted to perfection to a metalic white color was $800 cash ! So, as mentioned above, $ 1,250 for a new good quality painted and installed bumper seems reasonable.
