If it is faulty could that be draining the battery?

I don’t think key fobs can be resynced it either works or it doesn’t try opening the thing up and reseating the battery in the fob

 

I ended up buying a switch so we shall see what happens.

 

What year is your car? I noticed you’re new. Please do post a solution once you’ve figured it out. We have too many cut and dry members here once they have their issues resolved.

Many 2013 models have battery drain issues that require a dealer reprogramming of the ECU. But the LS overall is a battery hog.

 

Had the same problem on my 2001 LS 430.
Bought an Optima yellow top. All is well. Good luck
