Default High Height not working

I have a 2013 LS 460 with the air suspension option. When i hit the high height button, the light comes on from the dash but the car does not move, Not sure if this feature is tied to the air shocks or some other mechanism (e.g. air bags). I'm questioning if I have a broader air suspension issue or if this is separate. I can't find anywhere which describes the theory of operation for high height (how it works).

Anyone have experience diagnosing these systems?

It's subtle. It moves slowly to maybe 1 or 1.25 inch higher. You can kind of feel it if you're used to driving the car, otherwise you'd have to measure.

I don't feel anything. I do not have any codes. I connected to techstream but don't see any noticable change when I hit the high heighf button.

Would it throw codes if the pump was bad or had a leak?

So confirmed the air pump isn’t working when selecting high height or any ride adjustments. I want to confirm it’s a bad pump and not an electrical issue to the pump. Does anyone know how to test the air pump for power? Thought it was the blue wire but not getting 12v on blue after turning high height on. Thanks.

The one CLer I know who could help is McKellyB. He has spent untold hours on adjusting his air suspension with Techstream. PM him. Good luck!

Here's one of McKellyB's threads on the air suspension.

I didn't think mine was working either, it does work. My guess is yours does too. Its very slow, it takes it about 30-45 seconds to raise or lower. You can't really feel it inside like you can quicker systems. It also only raises the car about 1-1.25 inches.

I would measure all 4 corners from the ground to the wheel well arch in regular mode, then hit high, and give it a full minute, then measure again. Im certain you will find it does in fact work.

I took mine to the dealer, and thats how they proved to me it works.

How did you confirm the pump is not working? If the pump had failed I think you would find the vehicle wouldn't level and the ride position would be all messed up.

I hit the high heighf button while I had my hand on the pump. I felt nothing. I just tried your suggestion with a tape measure and I feel like an idiot. It takes a long time but it does work. I'll sleep better tonight. You guys are awesome. Thanks

It takes awhile. THe pump does not kick on right away. Mine once I hit it, will take a min or 2 and then I can feel it rise slightly if I am sitting still. I thought mine didnt work either so I measure from the ground to the wheel well arch before and after about 5min. It deffinitly went up. It will not be a fast movement up or down like you see with aftermarket systems.
