Don't spend any more money! The strut may settle after a few days/weeks. You can always swap the struts out at a later time.
Thank you JLAWS!! I will take your recommendation. I have the (4) 19” Chrome OEM wheels I want to put on but not for awhile. Maybe summer time. I definitely won’t put them on until my suspension is even and softer.
I hope it settles. I also am praying my steering has returnability to the center after the alignment tomorrow morning. I’ll keep you guys updated. Wish me luck.
Honestly, and I adjusted the air suspension on my '08 L for months, trying to get it level/even, it looks OEM. Front has more fenderwell clearance than the rear. The rear wheelwells are a tiny bit lower to the ground than the fronts, but it looks huge from the side.
Front and rear, from ground to the top of the wheel arch, should be about 29.5"-30", IIRC. I may have all of it written on the garage whiteboard, but I don't remember. At work all day, so I'll post Monday or Tuesday.
BTW, don't pull too much travel out of the front...you will not like the way it feels.
New gas-charged struts add a little height, but give it a week or two to settle. The last thing you want is to be hitting the bump stops, it's not LS-like.
These cars will not need new springs due to OEM spring 'sag' for another 8-10 years, if then.

What does “don’t pull too much travel out of the front” mean?
Just had alignment done. Steering returnability is back but returns a little too quickly. Meaning it forcibly turns back to center, instead of the steering wheel sliding slowly between my hands.
It turns out he didn’t get rid of springs. He got rid of the old strut. My mistake. I bought the KYB front struts from ROCKAUTO the other day. I still don’t understand (and neither can the mechanic) why the height is so different. Is it possible he installed the front struts on the rears and vice-versa?
I took it to another shop and the mechanic there said one of the struts isn’t “sitting right” and the coil is “bowed”. He said it would take an hour to take it apart to find out what the problem is and why the height is so high.

The front suspension takes the brunt of the wear. I changed the fronts first with KYB and the ride was amazing. I changes the rear a year later and there was a improvement in handling but the comfort was about the same.
I think your mechanic doesn't want to go thru breaking down the front struts again. It easier to pop in a fully assembled strut.
