I rode in a non-air LS 460, once, and while it was pretty good, the air puts it over-the-top for ride quality and isolation, which is what I was looking for with a modern land-yacht.

Now that I've been to the fourth level of Hell with air suspension on this platform, my first car, I'm not afraid of it. Two things...you've gotta use OEM struts, and playing with ride height can be hazardous. Not necessarily a catastrophically bad idea, but be aware it might take days of work to get it back to OEM, if you ever get it back to where it was, originally.

Hows it going man. Love the car you picked up. I'm currently looking for something very similair. I just have a quick question about the air suspension. I seen you were having all kinds of problems with the air on your last car and were even trying out aftermarket units. Do you have experience with a non-air car? Whats your thoughts on the air suspension? Is it worth having over the non-air? Thanks

Hey, that car was here in Winston Salem NC, where I take my car. That service dept. is the Top of the line dealer around here. The history looks good.Did you see the history report on the owners forum yet?

    That's lame.

Thanks for the luck! Worse comes to worst, I have a REALLY good upholstery guy in town, and I'll have them recovered, but with leather.

Yes, I had the melting door panels on my 07. The dealer said they felt like "fly paper". Lexus just blew me off and did nothing - said "my VIN number wasn't included". I ended up trading the car in on a 2014. I was pretty pissed at Lexus (and still am).

    Good luck
