With the exception of my wood trim being slightly darker, it is like mine. I too, am extremely pleased with the results. Thanks for sharing.

Default My Experience Was Less Positive

I'm reading about you guys who got everything replaced with envy. I've owned an '07 LS-460 since '08 or '09, and put 221,000 miles on it. I've maintained the car meticulously at Westside Lexus in Houston all these years, and I've kept it immaculate; inside a garage at home and under covered parking at work. The car would pass for a year-old age. I noticed the dash and door panel stickiness about 6 months ago and looked up the issue online. Then I took it in and asked about the replacement program that I'd read about. Lexus agreed to replace only the under-dash and console parts, and said they would only cover 25% of the far more expensive upper dash and door panels. This despite the fact that I've maintained the car superbly, despite the fact that I've paid untold thousands of dollars in routine maintenance costs at Westside, and despite the fact that I also bought a year-old RX-350 at Westside for my wife. The Lexus rep who called me had a derisive attitude, telling me that the warranty had expired and I had been notified twice about it and should have acted back then. I was never notified. In fact I spoke to two other LS-460 owners who said the same thing -- they were never notified either. So I'm going to migrate away from Lexis to other makes in the future -- something without melting interiors. By the way, I am a classic car collector. There's no way I would have ignored notices from Lexus. And I'm prosperous, don't skimp on maintenance and am loyal to good brands. In short, the kind of customer I would think Lexus would want. I opted to get the under-dash and console parts replaced for free just for spite, and turned down the $10,000 + or so it would cost for the other work (less 25%). I'm getting rid of the LS-460.

Sorry to hear about your experience jrbartlett. What is the manufacture date of your LS460?

Post #31 of this thread should assist you in determining the extent of eligibility regarding this program. Determine the production date of your LS460 and review the chart on post #31. You could also contact Lexus corporate customer service with your VIN number and obtain the extent of eligibility for your car.

Default ZLZ interior replacement

Took my 08 Lexus LS 460 to Southbay Lexus. Everything replaced within 3 weeks. Start to finish. However question. They declined to replace the front middle console arm rest lid. They did change the sides and rear panel but not the top lid where you rest your arm. Dashboard, instrument panel, glove box (outside) and all door panels replaced.

Question. Has anyone had the middle console arm rest replaced under ZLZ support program. Just think that part should be changed. Since you rest your arm on it.

Thanks and I appreciate everyone’s help on this.

I had the same results at the dealer but the arm rest itself is fine. It's just the padding between the plastic and the leather that goes flat. Even a new one will do the same thing.

Mine got replaced when they did the console. Maybe yours didn't get shipped in or they ordered the parts wrong. Mine was not in too bad a shape but glad it was done.

Wondering if you found out if this ZLZ program can apply to cars from other countries like Canada?
I'm 2nd owner of a 2007 460L and my car has all the problems of crracked, sticky dash including sticky side door panels and glove box because this car spent it's first 13 winter in Florida.

Default Nothing for Canadians from Lexus Canada?

My Canadian car spent 12 winters in Florida, no ZLZ or otherwise program up here by Lexus Canada and this is what you end up on a 70,000 mile car.

I have two 2008 Lexus LS460 and received the mails two years ago , so we brought them to Lexus for the ZLZ inspection . Lexus had ordered nine pieces of interior panels including the glove boxes and they would install for free . The parts took almost two years to arrive , the latest installation was done week ago but they really looked nice after it's done . So call and schedule as soon as possible . Hopefully you will still own the car after the parts arrived !

I have an ‘07 LS460 with 218k miles, dash and doors were all having the same sticky issue. Took it to Lexus of Birmingham and they replaced all doors, dash, new glovebox and center console and looks brand new. Also did it within 2 weeks of dropping it off. Although I think my favorite thing about it is the new car smell my Lexus has now!
