We have a"so called rare sport" for sale in my area on Craigslist.
Black on black with saddle is not my cup of tea (Texas Heat).
Just prefer a lighter color!

Here is the link for those who prefer the Sport!

Good day!
Good to know. The Miata is certainly a car I can see costing a bit more to insure due to size and how fun they are to rip around in. The LS, however, is quite different and I cannot imagine why it'd cost much if any more than a 2007 LX. The LX is heavier, just as costly to work on, had the same base price, has less safety features, etc... It's a real head-scratcher as to why they're charging me $40+ more per month with a clean record.

I also don't mind wrenching a bit, but I was looking for part coverage for the suspension and such. $250 OOP isn't bad, and assuming I only use it once that's ~$1,500 to cover the cost out of pocket. I have to imagine something will happen that'll get me for $1,500, but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

The LS is in today to get an HVAC fan looked at (it's rattling and sounding like a purring cat with a death rattle at times) and repaired, as well as the suspension looked over. It's got a bit of a clunk in the front driver side -- even in comfort mode. I have a feeling the arms or air ride needs some attention, and since I bought from a local dealer that stuff is covered without warranty intervention for 30 days. Best to get it addressed ASAP.

Was this a California car originally or did it come out of state? Shocked to hear about the control arm issues with the low miles.

To make you feel better, thats $5,600 in Lexus dollars. That job can be done with aftermarket arms at an independent for $1,500.
Is there a specific brand of aftermarket control arms you recommend?

I do hear that the aftermarket examples go bad much quicker than the OEM. There are a few people here that have experienced aftermarket camber kit failures within a few months...

I mean, the OEM ones clearly aren't great...I wouldn't be worried about a quality set of aftermarket arms

I agree that OEM is significantly flawed as so many owners are facing these failures. But from feedback, it does seem like a better option than aftermarket although aftermarket is a much cheaper alternative. This is the primary reason why I will go with OEM when I get around to swapping out my rear cambers.
