Let me share my story on my 2010 LS460. I just replaced all 8 front control arms with OEM parts buying from Ebay.
I got the list parts from Longo Lexus dealer in El Monte, CA. Dealer quoted me around us3500+tax.
Making the story short, I got all 8 OEM front control arms for us1615. I got my mechanic installing for us350.
I brought the car for alignment, and the mechanic guy told me that I supposed to get new version on the lower control arm.
He showed me the lower control arm (older version) was moving when he pressed down the brake pedal suddenly. He told me that with using the older version, the alignment may be good for around 4 months. The alignment guy used to work at Lexus dealer. He told me the moog brand on the lower control arm has no issue so far.
The OEM old version (lower control arm) is 48620-59015 & 48640-59015.
The OEM newer version (lower control arm) is 48620-59035 & 48640-59035

I was so pissed off because the Lexus dealer give me the older version on the lower control arm. They didn't tell me the newer version, and I bought the older version already at Ebay.
I hope my story will help others to pay attention on the front lower control arm (the black color).

I don't think I can return them. I bought the 48620-59015 in Torrance, CA and the 48640-59015 in Lake forest, CA. If dealer told me at the first time, I would buy these two part (newer version) from dealer. These lower control arms are cheaper compared to the upper control arms (at Longo Lexus dealer, CA).
Anyway, they have been installed. I spent the 48620-59015 (OEM) for $180 and the 48640-59015(OEM) for $212.

After the alignment's guy showed me the problem with lower control arm (older version), I realized the source of problem was on the lower control arm. That's why Lexus has issued the newer version. As long as, you install with older version. It will mess up the alignment and tires wear out more quickly. Possibly, it will affect the other control arms. Let see how it goes with the original (older version).

Damn, I need to get my bushing's installed soon as well.
I went and bought these:

But now I'm thinking whether I should get the "newer" lower control arms or not...

I never experience using urethane bushing. I was about to use urethane bushing, but I changed my mind. I hear from different mechanics. They say it's going to be stiff when driving. Some people mention about squeaking sound too. These were my other options before going to OEM:

Probably, you'll be fine since you use poly bushings. As long as, you don't mind with stiff feeling when driving.
The lower control arms issue is only on the OEM older version (the black color). It's not necessary on the after market parts or PSB bushings.

Hi! I am thinking of installing Armstrong PSB as well. It looks very promising as a substitute for oem rubber. Should improve handling without ruining the ride. Likewise, you cannot beat the durability of polyurethane. Squeaks should be a non-factor so long as you grease it properly upon installation. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated by everyone here. Let us know how it works out for you. Thanks

I agree. For durability, you can't beat it. When I went to Lexus dealer, they offered me using PSB also. They said they installed to some customers without complaint.

I might order the psb Armstrong bushings as well, im so fed up of not knowing what to order

Every single brand of control arms has some bad reviews , back arnley, movotech, dorman, moog etc... I was so fed up I was going to buy the cheapest set of Chinese crap I can find for like $30.00 a side (then realized dorman is rebranding those cheapies as their own) but I want to do this job once and do it right os im going Armstrong

I don't mind a stiffer ride, I just don't want squeaking and stuff , ill report back on how it goes

Im doing front lowers

I think the dealer charges around $2500 (PSB parts & labor). That's why I went or hunted with OEM on Ebay for $1615 parts + $350 labor (Evolution auto in Arcadia).
You can find PSB at cheaper price online and find cheaper mechanic to install.
If anybody want to go with OEM, just make sure the front lower using new version or 48620/48640-59035. The others are fine.
The alignment shop I have been with is called "Bear Frame & Wheel" 14271 Amar Rd, La Puente, CA 91746 (they are the best in town)

I think they were upgraded again.
Had my 8 control arms replaced by dealer under CPO/VSA back in June 2015.
My SA told me the replacement parts were the new new OEM parts.
Go to lexuspartshub.com and enter the part #s listed below. It will tell you the old part #s.
