I got the email from Lexus last night confirming that my 2010 (which has a first in use date of October 2010, so it's a late 2010 model) is included. Has anyone got their driver's side B-pillar replaced? That's the interior component in the worst condition in my car.

I recieved an email today about my 07 LS460:

>>>>
We were able to further look into your dashboard concern and have verified your vehicle was included in the Customer Support Program (CSP) ZLD, which provided an extension of warranty coverage for the Dashboard and/or Door Panels.

I also confirmed your Lexus is beyond the parameters of the Warranty Enhancement Program for this concern. Primary coverage for this program expired on 05/31/17 and Secondary coverage for your vehicle expired 10 years after the date of first use: 12/16/2016. Once the vehicle is outside of the program parameters, the cost of repairs becomes the owner’s responsibility.

This program is not to be confused with the recently announced CSP ZLZ, which provides repair coverage for the Console Box Assembly, Console Box Rear Panel, Glove Box Assembly, and Driver Side Lower Instrument Panel.
>>>>

So the dash and door panels have expired CSP ZLD. The center console is active under ZLZ.

Any suggestions on how to proceed? The arm rests and door material is just plain nasty.

They will only cover whatever they find the first time you bring it in. So, in my case they said they would only cover the front door panels even though I tried to explain to them how the rear panels and the dash get sticky in the summer. They told me that they recommend I bring it back mid summer when it's super hot here in Houston and told me the tech didn't send the report or pictures to Lexus corporate so I still have a chance at coverage. That seems kinda dumb. I wonder if they were wrong. I might contact corporate again for clarification.

I don't have any issues yet (leather door panels and leather console) but my SA had the tech inspect my interior for possible ZLZ enhancement replacement last week. I mentioned to him that I thought it was a one time thing as you mentioned. He said not at all. He said the ZLZ program is good until it expires. He said I can have the door panels replaced now if they're sticky and come back next year for the glove box. He said the thing is only replacing the defective/sticky panel(s) once during the enhancement program. I hope he is right. He will call me if they will replace any.

ZLD is supposed to cover the dash and door panels which expired May 31 2017 or 10 years from date of purchase. My 07 went out of warranty 5/31/17.

ZLZ covers the center console, glove box and under dash panel below the gauges. This one is active.

I honestly don't know how they figured out the enhancement program date. I'm way past the 10 year date of first use.
ZLZ letter I received -
Date of first use: 11/18/2007
Primary Coverage Period: Applicable until March 31,2021 regardless of mileage.
Secondary Coverage period (After Primary Coverage Period ends): Applicable for 10 years from the vehicle's date of first use regardless of mileage.

Customer Support Program Details
- This Customer Support Program will be offered regardless of mileage until March 31,2021.
- In addition, this Customer Support Program will be available for 10 years from the vehicle's date of first use regardless of mileage

The secondary coverage would be for newer cars that maybe have not developed the issue yet. For us early models 2021 is our deadline.

Any chance you would post the letter? When I spoke to lexus they refused me the panels and dash as I'm beyond either of the dates 5/31/17 or in service date of 12/8/16

I have a 2011 sport LS.
My concern is it is garage kept and only used about 6K miles a year. So any problems I have will not show up until after the coverage expires. Just went thru this with a 4runner. Was garage kept and the dash did not start cracking until exactly one month after the program expired. They also were replacing 4runner dash do to cracking.

Almost want a way to accelerate any problem that I may have. Only thing I notice is my dash on the LS does not have that rich dark black color. Without a vinyl treatment it looks a little grayed out. If that makes since. Guess I would have to start parking it out in the sun and see if it get sticky.

Any suggestions? thanks

aerospace 303 also if you have the higher leather package with leather door pieces yours is less likely to crack from what I read. I have the same car not cracking

I have a 2007 IS 250. I never got the original letter. Ironically, I am the original owner and just recently moved so no address issues. The dealer never alerted me either and I had my oil changed in that time frame. I called corporate Lexus last week and they told me to go through the local dealer and have them file an appeal. So I went today and had them take photos. The local manager said no guarantees but he will try it. I put a note to call them in a week to see what they say. Who knows?

Good news for me. I got a call from the dealership and they said all my parts were in. We scheduled it for next friday. Will let y'all know what was changed. i think they had taken pictures of the door panels, dash, center console lid, and some other things. It took about 3 months for the parts to come in which is much less time then it took for the dash on my parents gx. That one took over a year.
