Warranty Enhancement : ZLZResponse By Email (Cameron) (11/15/2018 01:55 PM)
Dear Mr. Baroni:

Thank you for contacting Lexus.

As a consumer myself, I can certainly understand you wanting to obtain more clarity around this Customer Support Program (CSP) that was recently announced for the dashboard in your 2008 LS 460.

We have checked your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN): JTHBL46F985068877 and have confirmed your vehicle is involved in the following Warranty Enhancement: ZLZ.

Please contact your local Lexus dealer to schedule an appointment to have the condition of this program inspected and confirmed.

Your email has been documented at our National Headquarters. If we can be of further assistance, please feel free to contact us.

Sincerely,

Anyone knows if the 2008 is covered. I was flatly denied by Lexus Cooperate about 2 years ago when I complained about melting interior door handles.
They told me ONLy the 2007 was eligible.

I can tell you this. Mine is an 08 and 2 years ago I was flatly denied. Today, I was approved and am getting all new door panels, dash, glove box and trim. Call your dealership, speak to service and they should tell you to bring it in for an inspection.

Forget the letter. Call your Lexus dealership service dept. I didn't have one. I just called and told them I heard about it here. They all know about this forum.

Yeah, I know. I just want to get one. My dealership has done my dash. I just hope for the console and under panel to get done.

Can you share the details of that letter? I have a 2004 RX and missed their so called dealine by 2 months despite never getting a letter and them acknowledging I was eligible. Plan to go the class action route or some other form of individual legal action to hammer them but if they have changed their minds, would like to know. Thanks in advance.

I doubt Lexus is reopening the RX Warranty Enhancement with this new one. The original one included the RX, GX and ES. This one seems to be the LS and GS (for some odd reason). I wouldn't waste your time pursuing legal action unless you're just hoping Lexus will settle with you and provide a free dash repair. They have already covered themselves with the original warranty enhancement for the RX. They also aren't legally obligated to notify you of the Warranty Enhancement Program, as it's not a government mandated safety recall.

Everyone else should make sure to have this done within the time frame of the warranty enhancement program. Even if you're a day beyond it, Lexus WILL NOT honor the warranty enhancement - no ifs, and or buts.

Quick question about this campaign. Does anyone know which model years were affected? For instance do 2011 or 2012 MY have this issue as well?
