my LS460 hit by Toyota 4Runner :<
Yesterday afternoon on my way back home, at an intersection, according to the traffic sign, the leftmost 2 lanes must turn left, i'm on the 3rd lane from left and can either turn left or go straight. Green light on, the cars in these 3 lanes in front of us followed the rules. I turned left slowly, with left turn signal lights on. A 4Runner sped up from behind my car rushing through the intersection while i was turning. I could not respond fast enough and his rear right corner hit my front driver side.
Police talked to both of us, told me that the other driver is at fault, and the other driver does not have a DL but has insurance so it should be ok to me. My insurance company told me that i'm at "no fault" in this case. Has arranged a estimate/inspection today. not sure how much it would cost to get my LS repaired.

Well a new fender and rim should cover it, maybe an alignment. Any way you can avoid going through insurance with the guy? I've seen firsthand what an accident on your carfax report does to the value of a vehicle. Doesn't matter how big or small, it kills the value. If you have to go through insurance take LOTS and LOTs of pictures of the damage BEFORE it's repaired, and use it as evidence that the accident was very very minor and the that the repair was done by a professional.

Your LS looks in really good condition, looks like you really take care of it. It was a minor accident, nobody hurt, etc and it will likely be repaired as good as new or close to it. I would make sure you keep the pictures and have documentation this is just a minor fender bender for when you sell it.

Sucks about your accident.
Looks like the paint is truffle mica? Just so you know that color is a PAIN to match. Really hard, my 2010 ES was truffle mica and they painted the bumper 3 times and still couldn't get it to be a perfect match, so I would really do my research and pick a GREAT shop...

Thanks a lot for the advice.. yes i spare no effort taking care of the LS460 as can be seen on my signature
Bumper needs some work as well. Police report was filed, so the incident info probably went public already.
Probably will keep the LS460 for another 10 years.
Will probably get it professionally repaired in Lexus dealer
will also see if i can get some compensation for "diminished value"
thanks guys..

I recently had my bumper cover replaced and painted to match my Peridot Mica (dark green) LS600hL. The body shop warned that it is very difficult to get a perfect match between the plastic bumper cover and the steel fenders/hood/etc. (due to how the different surfaces take the paint), but they did a great job and I can see no color difference whatsoever between the new bumper and the rest of the car. I think a good body shop will be able to give you a great match. You really don't have much choice at this point anyway, right? If you're not happy with the paint matching, you can always have them try again (like Steve did). Good luck!

Hit by a Toyota 4 Runner? You'd think he'd have more respect for a Lexus!
Sorry you got hit, but a good auto body shop will have your car looking like it never happened.

Sorry about the accident. I was rear-ended about 12 months ago and successfully got diminished value - but I had substantial damage to my car to the point of only being about 5-8% away from being totaled (I'm very glad it wasn't). I'm not an expert in diminished value, but seeing the amount of damage you have I think you may have a hard time getting much, if anything. Good luck.
