This bugs me every time I see it Has anyone removed and replaced just this piece? It appears to have a brushed nickel finish that the previous owner damaged. Any ideas would be welcome.
Area above clock is peeing off. Top half has peeled off
I am interested in the solution too.
Area above clock is peeing off. Top half has peeled off. I don't want to take things apart as I know I will break something else. I am interested in painting and putting some kind of wrap without removing any pieces.

I didn’t think of doing a wrap but that’s an excellent idea! I’m also very hesitant about removing this part since it’s plastic and seems really thin. Maybe someone has replaced this and will reply.
I think I was the first to replace it for my 2008. The part number 2010-2012 is #55405-50120 and a bit more. You could try to repaint it but removing it can be risky since the plastic may have dried and become brittle. Mine had a crack in the side by the vent area that bothered me.
Mine had the crack too. I lucked out and found a used one on ebay cheaper than new. Had all the buttons on it so all i had to do was put in the nav screen.. Very easy. Someone on this board had glued the crack and sanded it down and used touch up paint. It was good but you can the difference in trim color.
Can anyone verify if the brushed nickel painted piece at the top of the navigation screen and around the the hazard light button is removable from the bezel? It looks like a separate piece to me. It sure would be nice to buy JUST that piece!
Stop by an good auto body shop...show them the issue, I bet they will do a job like that under $100 and you would never tell there was an issue there...
I bought a new one online from a Lexus dealer for $225 because mine was cracked. If you look up the part number, and Google it, just go through the pages until you find a good deal. I think mine came from Atlanta, but it looks great.
Maybe take it to a paint shop, some places have a color scanner that can scan the color to match the paint but the part they scan needs to be thick/large enough, it did not work on my multi spoke wheels. That is a shame the interior color is flaking off like that, guess it goes right along with panels melting/fading, where was the quality control for the design of this car? I was looking at a used 2011 LS that had a bunch of silver paint peeling around the climate control/nav area, it looked terrible, pretty much a deal breaker.
