I'd like to know a little about what exactly was done. Did you find any paint imperfections? Watermarks?
BTW, great photos.

I can certainly see why you did it on your iSF, but why on your LC

Looks great!!! Seeing 1st hand how dealers wash the cars on the lot blows my mind. No respect at all given. Dirty rags...improper washing techniques...sad.

I agree but I'm talking about the brand new cars before they have an owner. It's a shame. All dealers do it. I saw a Chiron that needed paint correction straight off the showroom floor.

I think what some of you may be referring to is called a buff not paint or color correction. What we use to call "Spiderwebs" in Paint/Body shops years ago is light little streaks in the shape of spiderwebs on the clear coat from micro abrasions left after wiping with cotton type clothes. Those are easily buffed out using a high speed polisher with a foam pad and a light swirl remover (polish). Can be done in a one-step process followed by a good wax to seal afterwards. A paint or color correction would require color sanding the clear coat or a repaint of the clear or the clear and the paint both.

Have 25 years in automotive washing, detailing and paint/body. I hope that clears a few things up for some of you.

Very nice! Like many, when I took delivery of mine I identified more than 15 scratches on the paint, most very light . A dozen or so hours of loving labour later (including a few areas requiring low grit sanding), the paint was brought up to Pebble Beach standards. All of my other cars went through the same process, even the Lambo so Lexus is no exception.
