I have an '09 LS and started having armrest problems last year. Not knowing it was a Lexus factory issue (I wasn't on this site then) I found a fix that may be helpful to the readers. In the Atlanta area there is a franchise called Fibrenew. They do upholstery repair on furniture and autos. They repaired my drivers side armrest last year and did an excellent job. This year they just finished the passenger front armrest and it looks great. In my area of north metro Atlanta the charge was $225 for each front door and $175 for each back door which will be done this summer when the cracks get a little bigger. I'll try to include pictures.
Great work by Fibrenew
Hope there is a Fibrenew or similar franchisee or repair shop near y'all.

Can you please post high resolution photos? Is it leather wrapped, vinyl wrapped, or something else?
Very cool, thanks for this! There are a few locations near me, gonna check them out to see if they can repair the spot on the pillar inside the driver door.
Same here; there is a franchise close. Their website is not clear if repair of leather includes new leather or just a patching of existing material. Obviously a process to color to match. I'm curious how a Lexus LS steering wheel repair would look and hold up. Many of the higher milage LS 600hL I see for sale have significant wear there which makes me reluctant to consider. If others have gone this route or found a way to restore to new for a reasonable cost, I'd love to hear about it and see pictures.
I remember a similar post last year. If I recall correctly, they took off the armrest and sprayed on a vinyl/plastic material (a bit like a pickup truck bed).
