Iphone question
Hi all! I'm close to updating my iphone. I have the 6S and I'm thinking of going with the 7Plus. I believe it has no earphone jack. My 08 doesn't have bluetooth audio. I know I can add that feature, but for my needs, I just plug my phone into the mini jack in the console. Is there a way with the 7Plus to still plug into the car's mini jack and hear music from my phone through the speakers? Thanks, Ron

I have a 7plus and it comes with a lightning to 3.5mm jack converter
so yes, you can still use it the same way, however you cannot charge the phone at the same time as the music is playing.
you might consider investing $20 in one of these,
it will allow Bluetooth for audio, thus allowing the phone to charge.. I use it on my 1938 Ford Hot Rod. The one drawback it has is that it requires you to power it up to connect the Bluetooth each time you start the car, it doesn't auto connect.
if you only have 1 USB port or don't have any USB ports in your 2008, you can get one of these for the lighter plug, the USB on the above device is to provide power not a music connection. then you can power the above the device and charge the phone at the same time.
for under $30 you will have full Bluetooth audio in your car.

Awesome to know the 7's come with the adapter/converter. That makes it a no brainer. I do like your alternative idea for Bluetooth and that's a good consideration. The 2008 has both the "cigarette lighter" and mini jack next to one another. So, it would work great as well.
Thanks for the info! Much appreciated.
