Default I fixed my Mark Levinson sub for cheap!!

This technique has been around for a long time now. It is relatively easy once you get the sub out. You will have to follow these directions to remove your back seat. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls-...reclining.html

After removing the back seat you solder a wire connecting from the speaker input to the solder point on the center of the woofer. Took 2 mins to solder. Here is a pic from someone on Facebook who also successfully repaired theirs and gave me the idea. The speaker turned out perfect. I was able to play at max volume without any side ieffects. Safe to say this is a permanent fix. Also I ended up stuffing a small amount of gauge pad around the newly added wire to stop it from smacking agains the plastic bottom cover

Nice money saving fix!
TIP! Use "solder wick" (braided copper) for this repair....... It is more flexible.

Looks like the voice coil wire was kaput. He soldered a new wire in it's place. I agree with the other poster about using the wick...far more flexible.

that's awesome.. but that fix only works on a tinsel lead that is broken outside of the magnetic gap.. the actual voicecoil couldn't be repaired the same way... this will be a case by case basis

Ah, OK, I can see the break in the wire on the cone now.
