2009 ls
Have had this LS for 6 yrs with only 77k. I'm trying to decide tween keeping it or moving to a 2016 GX or other Lexus for the technology. I understand it's my decision but I'm wandering what thought processes others have used to make these kinds of decisions. The LS has no problems but a couple of dash button lights are out but everything else is fine. It may just be having had this auto for 6 yrs.
thanks for your input.

Grand Cherokee, you have to drive it to believe how nice it is. 15k cheaper than the premium brands and better in my eyes. We rejected them all and price wasn't the deciding factor. I will actually choose to drive the Jeep instead on my LS quite often. Its that nice.

I didn't want the air suspension or the 20 inch wheels you have to take with the Overland or the Summit so I loaded up a Limited. I didn't take the V8 option because the 300 hp V6 is killer with the 8 speed trans. It has everything $49k sticker I paid $44.5. I switched from a hard riding 4 Runner so I wanted the more comfortable ride of 18 inch wheels on the Jeep. Also I bought a Mopar factory lifetime unlimited miles $100 deductable complete coverage warranty for $2660. Who else is going to offer you that?. If way down the road the price of the repair exceeds the book value of the car they just pay you the book car value and the policy ends. You get to keep the car. Or you could fix the car yourself and keep going on the lifetime warranty. By then all cars will be self driving anyway.

The GX is a fancy 4 Runner. Terrible turning radius, awful ride, barn door.

IMHO the interior upgrades you get with the Overland are important if you want the vehicle to feel luxurious, the leather dash, the better leather and better color schemes. I like the painted trim vs the plastic trim. The Summit gets you the alcantara headliner, and the option of the extended leather. If I were replacing my luxury car I would want those interior upgrades. Only issue with the air suspension is reliability, and with the lifetime warranty who cares? lol.
Its a great vehicle I agree.
I had both the Jeep on the standard suspension with the 18s and the air suspension with the 20s. Rides the same, the air suspension compensates for any difference in ride from the bigger wheels. You can get the Overland with the 18s you just need one of the offload packages.
