Default Fool Proof Emblem / Decal Installation

Here is my step by step guide to apply anything with an adhesive backing whether it be an emblem, parking decal, favorite sticker outside or even inside your windshield.

Tools needed: Blue Painters Tape, Level, Tape Rule, Quick Detailer or spray bottle with water and a drop of liquid detergent.

Starting the job:

Measure out the edge of the emblem to match the passenger side:

After leveling the object mask off a border and place the object within it. Then go ahead and tape the top edge of the object to the body with multiple overlapping layers. This way the object will not move after you remove the adhesive backing.

Double check the object is EXACTLY level and where you want it.

Lift the object up and peel the backing over. Spray the adhesive with your quik detailer / lubri shine / water with liquid detergent solution. You cannot over spray it, just look at the excess in my pic. Now move the object in place. If not happy where it is this is your last chance to move it. If happy apply even pressure and press it into place. Happy now? Great! Remove all the blue tape and wipe the excess spray residue off.

Sit back and enjoy your work!

Looks great!

Lexus should have put this badge on from the factory on the F-Sport models...

Agreed.
When he first told me about this, I was surprised, as I thought that the F Sport came with the rear badge.
Anyway, it looks OEM.
Great job.

Added the same badge to mine. Its covered up in this picture but love the add. This comes standard on 2015+ models.
