Default New to LS460

After owning a Gs430 for 3 years I was ready for something more refined.

Just picked up this gem.

08 silver with black, ML , navi, Xm, power doors and trunk, Love the car so far,.

Throttle mapping is way different, gs was an animal with minimal input, this one is docile up to 3000 and really kicks in after that. I like it. It's easy to drive it smooth.

I got a Lexus 3 year warranty.

Question are front control arms covered under warranty, mine are fine unless you slam the brakes, which is when I feel a bit of a jerk. Not sure of its normal, but I will have the dealer look into during the next oil change. Just wanted to know what others did and if warranty covers this.

Valve springs were done back in 2010.

Hope to score sport wheels at some point.

Thank you. Love the ML already, that was a must have for me.
I drove the car back home 160miles. Got 25.5 mpg, mostly 80mph.
Found the HOLD brake feature awesome. Got to use it with a smile on my face. Silly feature, but who are we kidding. We like toys.
Also Xm traffic updates are awesome.

Do all LS come with self closing doors and power trunk?

The only things I wish this car had is power shades for rear doors, and sport wheels, factory rims looks so small. But it's elegant enough that it will do for now.

Also I think the 6sped tranny was a bit more predictable. With the 8 speed I never know what gear I'm in, where it will downshift, how much throttle inout is needed for it to go in which gear.
My gs I knew all this by hard. Perhaps as time goes by I'll learn all this.

Gonna order 4300 hid kit for fogs sometime this month.

Yes, the control arms/bushings are spelled out as covered in the Lexus Extra Care Platinum warranty.

Hey, I remember you from the GS forum. You may have even slid me a few lines of advice/feedback regarding a GS430.
As everything one else has stated, I'd just like to extend and honorary congratulations as well.
Beautiful exterior color.
Enjoy it!

Thank you Guys.

Hope this car is as solid as the other one was. Looking forward to meeting new people, ideas and good reads.

I take lots of road trips, will be posting good pictures from time to time.

Gratz on the 460. You will love this car. I've had mine all of 2 months and it's just amazing. I don't drive mine that much so each time I hop in I find something new and fun. You can get on the Lexus Drivers site, punch in the vin and get all your records. I just did that the other day and saw everything Lexus did to my car over the years. A nice add by Lexus for it's owners.

Enjoy your new car!

You know whats funny, as I have been looking at LS's for the past few weeks, when I come across one that isn't being sold by a dealer, and I call to inquire, many don't seem to know about that site, as it is very, very informative. I think they improved the site by allowing for the maintenance history to be more descriptive and not so abbreviated and often times incomplete as they were before. Every time I see an LS (before it was the GS that had my interest), I would go straight to MyLexus and overview the maint. history.
Just a side bar, I saw one yesterday, 07 460L with 90K miles for 20, but discovered that the driver took it from 38k miles to 63k miles in 4 months in early 2012 then the Lexus records disappeared after October 2012. So its like.."Well what happened??".

I wish we could do this in Canada.
