Default JDM Fogs Help

Hello all. I purchased a used set of JDM HID/LED fogs awhile ago and had them installed by a buddy of mine who owns a shop. The HID portion was plug and play, but I cannot figure out how to get the LED portion to light up outside of tapping into the parking lights. It came with a DRL switch with a number of harnesses attached and a ground wire. I dropped the panel under the steering wheel and cannot see anywhere to plug it in. I reached out to the few people who have installed these, and contacted a number of sellers, but have not had much luck.

Does anyone know if the LED portion has a harness to plug into on a US Spec car?

Light

Instructions I got from someone. It says there is a harness, but no one has been able to confirm if the US Spec vehicles have it

Can anyone answer this or lead me in the right direction?

Thanks

Always loved these fogs..are the Leds too bright to leave on at night if you tapped into parking lights? That seems like a good solution if brightness isn't an issue for oncoming traffic

I would go buy OFF/ON separate switch for LED or you can just tap to the fog. That way, both will be on at all time.

I reached out to the 2 people I found on here. One tapped the parking lights and the other never installed them.

Not sure if you saw the video, but they came with a DRL switch with 3 harnesses and a wire. Would much rather plug in if possible somewhere.

I think they are used as daytime running lights typically, so not to sure. Not sure if the voltage will be too much / too little or if there is a converter in-line with the harness.

Too much, but I had to have them. Now to get them working properly.

They run around $700+ and shipping from Japan for used set.

You are not likely to find plugs under the dash for that to plug into. I'd say maybe if those lights were an option for the US market but they weren't. I'd say use a switch, relay, and some resistors to get those to work.

Wow! Last I saw them, they were something like 3k. Seems like something worth looking knot now.

If anyone is interested, I used Jesse Streeter to source the lights. They were from yahoo auctions japan. He charges a percentage of your purchase, but has them shipped to his shop first in Japan to check them out before shipping stateside. They sat in customs in NY for awhile too.

I have a headlight mod being done and will have my buddy try to hook these LEDs up again when he gets the bumper off. Will post pics for sure. Thanks everyone for your input.
