The SA says if this doesn't resolve the issue, they'll have to get a field service rep out to look it over.

For a 2010 with 50K miles, this makes me worried about the long term prospects for this car. Sigh.
I see this is an old thread but you just described everything EXACTLY as I'm experiencing with my ls460 at the moment. After 2 weeks of searching I've come to a conclusion it was probably going to be my calipers/rattle clips. But I'm guessing whatever you found is highly likely my solution as well. Hope you get this reply And hope I get to hear some good news! Lol

I had a 2010 and posted elsewhere that I had almost $20k in warranty repairs on my suspension. every strut was done atleast once shocks bushings the whole thing. the sound would go away for a month and then come back and another fix. i couldnt deal with it anymore and got a 2014 hopefully those issues are gone.

Just an update after some troubleshooting we found out my issue was bad rattle clips on the brakes. Drove it down the road with window open about 20mph. Heard the knocking. Then went back and drove through the road again 20mph but this time slightly held my brakes and the knocking went away. tried this multiple times and sure enough it was the rattle clips not holding the pads on place. Cheap $11 fix in my case. Hope this helps someone
