Curious, anyone else out there experience a clunking/thud type noise from their LS when making a turn coinciding with an incline particularly in the sunroof area ie: as in turn in the drive way for a home?

 

Well, it does sound like it's caused by body flex. Have you had it checked by a dealer - could just be something loose in the sunroof.

 

I have the same noise coming from my '07. There is a slight groan/flexing noise coming from the driver side front corner of the sunroof. For me it seems to happen more when turning left pulling in/out of the driveway. I've been meaning to look into it but haven't had the time.

 

YES!@#!@# I've had one for going on 6 years. Bought the car as a CPO when it was 4 years old. It happens most often when going around a corner AND going up or down a hill, like a driveway skirt or other sharp change in elevation. Sounds like it comes from above and right of the drivers head.

I've had dealer techs in the car with me and demonstrated it happening. After 4 different attempts to get it fixed and the dealer couldn't figure it out (didn't charge me for their attempts since the techs heard it), I gave up and learned to live with it. Happens hot or cold, rain or shine.

Utterly frustrating.
