when to rebuild TPMS?

You would only need a TPMS rebuild kit if you are changing the TPMS from one wheel (rim) to the next. Otherwise they should never have to touch the TPMS. Changing tires is like taking your shoes off and putting a new one on. No need to purchase that, its extra commission for the sales guy.

so i purchased a rebuild kit. does anyone know where the rubber gasket go? inside the wheel or outside?

I'm pretty sure the way it comes off is the way it would go on..

i know that. i just didn't see the guy at the tire shop do it. i want to make sure it was done right. he said he didn't need to unmount the tire to put this rebuild kit in. i always thought that the rubber gasket went inside the wheel.
