Question Does my car have TPMS

So I installed my new tires and noticed that there are no TPMS in the wheels.

So my question is does the ISF come with a TPMS installed in the rim itself similar to this---> http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2013/2025.html

If so then how come my car doesn't have one installed? and even weirder how come I don't get any warning signs on my tire pressure?

The valvestem has the tpms. Maybe the previous owner took them out and stuck them inside the spare tire or in some pressurized compartment in your car so the warning light doesn't come on.

well that would be difficult as I bought my car new.

When all 5 tires were changed, none of them had the TPMS.

Before the guy took the old tires off I told him be careful not to damage the TPMS's that are behind the valve-stems.

Surprisingly he immediately told me Lexus here doesn't have these sensors on the wheels, and sure enough when he removed all 5 tires none of them had a TPMS.

I'm confused now, because this means that even if I get a flat tire the car won't read it.....correct?

But then again how come I don't have any warning lights? could this be a specification differences between US model ISFs and GCC Model ISFs?

Still it doesn't make sense why they won't have sensors. Even my previous Infiniti G35 had them.

and if magically my car somehow does have sensors, shouldn't I get a warning light when changing all 5 tires? wouldn't I have to reset it or something?

Yes they would have to be reset if moved to another wheel and if not a light would come on.

That is weird that yours may not have come with the TPMS...I never understood why manufacturers would produce cars differently depending on where they were sold...not sure how that is cost effective from a manufacturing standpoint...

Oh, I didn't know you were in another country. I suppose other countries and regulations will dictate how a car manufacturer makes the cars.

Our TPMS sensors are not position specific, moving their position on the vehicle does not require a reset...its the reason when guys mount their rims wrong, their are no warning lights...its simple frequency transmission only.

This only applies to the U.S. The OP is from a different country.

Yes, your's does and so does mine and 99% of us on this forum. However, he OPs doesn't. He's in the Far East. Things are different over there.

Now if my car had sensors then I should expect to see this behind my tires mounted to my rims correct? --> http://is.sewellparts.com/accessorie...2013/2025.html

They would be part of the valve assembly mounted to the wheel the same as any air valve assembly.

^ Thanks for the pic, really appreciate it.

So now I know my car didn't come with TPMS which is crazy to say the least.

Now even if I got the sensors I doubt they will register with my car since it seems that it has been somehow programmed to not show any signals or warning signs.

So anyone know of any aftermarket Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems available out there that are good?

That's odd with a modern car without TPMS, why don't you contact with the dealer where the car bought to aks them or check on the manual again to make sure if it has or not.

I too am shocked that it doesn't have it.
