Hey guys - My family just got a 2007 LS 460.
We're having trouble with the child safety door lock switch.
Seems that both rear doors stay locked (switch down) and it's very resistant to being switched back to unlock.
We tried the doors locked, unlocked, car parked, unparked: nothing.
Is it possible that the CBEST is programmed to have these doors permanently child safety locked?
We would stop by a dealership, but they're quite a distance from us and I prefer asking this community first.
It should work fine but, I can't believe there is a problem in the car because both rear doors can't be switched to unlock. If there is a problem, at least one door working and other not. this is my believe.
Had same issue regarding resistance on my 2010. Unfortunately, I had to take the door apart to even move it and found the plastic parts brittle. I don't recommend switching them at all...get them set the way you want (in my case unlocked) then Leave them.
Hi, yes we had it fixed. Had an audio installer open up the door panel. Force pushed the door cable latch while pressing the switch up and it unlocked. Hope that helps.
